Long Island's
Premier
Vein Treatment Center

EXCELLENCE IN TREATMENT

If you suffer from varicose and capillary spider veins, you are not alone. Many men and women experience the discomfort of these veins and are surprised to learn that they can in fact be properly evaluated and treated. The Varicose Vein Center in Port Jefferson Village specializes in office-based evaluation and treatment of capillary spider veins as well as larger varicose veins. Patients are often evaluated with duplex ultrasound. This safe, painless study allows for visualization of the diseased vein and to check for reflux. Reflux, the tendency of blood to “pool” in the vein, is the basis for the development of varicosities. Left untreated, varicose veins can contribute to more significant health-related problems.

EXCEPTIONAL CARE FOR CAPILLARY VEINS & VARICOSE VEINS

Capillary spider veins are treated with sclerotherapy. Some patients, especially those with larger bulging varicose veins, may require an Endolaser procedure. Performed in the office with ultrasound guidance, this modern procedure has replaced vein stripping. There is no down time and patients return to normal activities immediately.
Dr. Jerry Ninia performs all treatments. He is a board-certified physician with specialty certification in ultrasound diagnosis. He has published papers and textbook chapters on these techniques in the medical literature and has lectured and demonstrated these techniques at medical society meetings worldwide, most recently Pisa, Italy. We provide office-based treatment for varicose and spider veins.
